Appellate Practice

The attorneys of The Health Law Firm have in excess of 30 years of experience in handling appeals of state and federal court cases, including Final Orders and other decisions of administrative agencies on behalf of health care professionals and facilities.

Our attorneys are admitted to all state and federal courts in Florida as well as most of the federal courts in Washington, D.C.

We routinely handle appeals of Florida Circuit Court decisions and the decisions of Florida administrative agencies, including the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), including Emergency Suspension Orders (ESOs) and Orders of Moratorium.

Whether it is a Final Order on a regulatory matter or a hospital licensure matter from the Agency for Health Care Administration, an appeal of a Medicaid Cost Reimbursement Report, or an adverse decision from a Board of Medicine or Board of Nursing case, we have done it. We have also handled appeals in federal court cases to the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, among others.
